About Me

MY STORY

I have always loved taking picture. I grew up taking lots of pictures of my family even though we never really had a nice camera. I always tried to do my best with lighting and capturing the moment.

My first photography class was in high school. I learned the fundamentals of photography and learned how to develop film. I enjoyed that class so much that I knew I wanted to learn more. After high school unfortunately I didn’t follow my dream and become a photographer. I had another passion. I wanted to teach children and went to school to get my Masters degree in Elementary Education. I love teaching and will continue to teach but now I have found a way to balance both dreams and that is why I have started to market my photography.

My story is unique but I do have a love for photography and have been inspired to follow this dream. I have taken many classes to help me be successful at it and I can honestly say I am ready to freeze your special moment so that all can see you in it.

My photography guru is Camille Garrison, who shot my bridal pictures and wedding. If you are ever in northern Utah I highly recommend her to shot your special event. She has also inspired me to follow my dream as a photographer and has taught me paint with light and use natural sunlight to help paint my canvas. She is an amazing mentor who is very talented.

MY STYLE

I strive to capture the truth of the moment as it happens and find interesting shots in ordinary places. I find real moments beautiful, whether those moments are made up of genuine laughter, emotional tears, or nervousness. I want to capture small details such as a connective bond between a parent and child or the love and excitement shared between two people on their wedding day so that they aren’t forgotten.

All in all my philosophy is to relax, have some fun, and together we will create a timeless work of art for you to cherish forever.

ABOUT ME PERSONALLY

I live in Arizona and have been living here for 3 years and have been married just as long. I am originally from Utah and can say that I love Arizona in the winter and Utah in the summer. I love my families and wish they would all move to Arizona so that we can be closer together.

Here are some more things that I love: lighting storms, reading a good book and will read just about anything, eating cereal, traveling, teaching 1^st grade, and going on walks with my husband.

I also have many other talents. I’m really good at decorating cakes in fondant or butter cream. I love taking the time to decorate sugar cookies with royal icing. I paint abstract art in my spare time (which are days when it is raining). I like to be creative with hair and do up dos for wedding and dance events.
